Bush leads in polls in today's disinformation du jour
Sorry this won't be up to my own standards, life is interfering right now.
But I just saw this happen, and had to blog it- a little girl with her mother in line ahead of me at the store was trying to eat a tomato out of my shopping basket. Mom said, 'oh don't eat those, you don't like them'. Little girl, said, 'yes gimmee I want one." Mom- 'No you don't, that's the red stuff you always take off your McDonalds'. End of argument. (Me, to self- " McDonald's "as a synomym for food? The hell?)
This same woman was just telling the cashier what a great show Bill O'Reilly had yesterday.
Again, I'm wondering;are we all just too stupid to be trusted?
If you never tasted a vegetable except for what you got at McDonald's would you have a burning hunger for caponata, arugula, artichokes, the whole cabbage family, or would you just get hooked on being force-fed tasty fat you could eat with one hand? Preferably without getting off your ass?
If you never thought of looking at issues through the prism of history or media manupulation, would you use your free time to see what other English-language news is saying like Anti wrote here ?
Or would you just read the latest hit from the FOX News crack-pipe online like the asshole sitting next to me right now?
If you read Fast Food Nation, you already know that it's no coincidence that farmers ranchers truckers ALL have to be in bed with the same two or three Big Food conglomerates or they go out of business.
What you probably don't know, is the same thing happened during the Bush Administration with the media. Information. News.

The tactics used to convince millions of people to choose factory-farmed possibly mad-cow-inducing, cheap disgusting food over the responibility of cooking your own damn dinner, are the ones being used to convince you if it's on the T.V. news, it's true. Some of them are the exact same people.
Millions of dollars are being spent on scaring you into a FOX-box like stampeding cattle herded into a slaughterhouse.
Let's all write a letter of appreciation to the editor who wanted to fire the reporter of this mainstream magazine piece because it was too negative.
Let's tell him how much we need to have all the things that aren't so pretty about the Iraq fuckaround removed from any American eyes. We can't handle it. Don't even tell us you're lying about it, 'cuz that's not pretty either.
And if our elected leaders act on our wishes and against the McHalliBush thugs, they are 'flip-floppers'. If you start to look at things a little too closely, why here comes another Poll to remind you Bush is THE LEADER! Everybody loves him! Even people who don't like him find Kerry ridiculous, so get used to Bush winning.

Getting used to the idea that George will 'win' yet again, so just roll over and get punked and go back to finishing your Big Mac in your Escalade.
