1) It's not too late. Get some 2 x 4 squares of Corolite from a sign shop, (FastSigns, Abracabra, etc.). Ask them to make grommeted holes in each corner.
This should take you about two hours and cost under ten bucks.
2) Buy some extra-wide Sharpie markers. I have one black and one red for 'blood' effects.
3) Don't think you have to be Mear One and Billy Nose on your first try. Write something easy like "No WMDs" with a red "W" like we did tonight, or the ever-popular "Bush Lied".
4) Hook a 6" length of baling wire through each grommet. Drive around looking for a visible legnth of fencing. Or, tie the wire around the poles of an overpass bridge. The few extra inches of play will keep it from flipping up in the wind.
5) Think to yourself, "How fun that would be. I'll do it when I finish this madcool mural I'm working on. Young people are doing such interesting things in this election year. I'll just get high right now, time enough later to go to Kinko's. It doesn't have to be today, right?"
6) I'm kidding, get up, do it now before rush hour. It IS fun, and important.

"“Voting once every four years is no longer sufficient,”(the Freeway Blogger) says once we are back on the freeway, driving north to see if his first two signs are still hanging (they aren´t) and so he can drop me off. “It´s not going to keep the beast at bay.
"If people could just realize they had a voice I wouldn´t have to do this anymore.”
